NBD Message on World Youth Skills Day 2020

Every year, on July 15th, there’s worldwide celebration of World Youth Skills Day as an opportunity of recognizing the strategic importance of equipping young people with skills for employment, decent work, and entrepreneurship among others. This year’s World Youth Skills Day 2020 theme, “Skills for a Resilient Youth” will take place in a challenging context faced with the COVID-19 pandemic, and lockdown measures that are continuously threatening the continuity of skills development.

This particular day is very important to NBD and especially the youth in the Nile Basin Region. In this video, the NBD Regional Manager Dr Hellen Natu shares highlights on this year's topic “Skills for a Resilient Youth”.
