Transboundary Communities’ Engagement on LEAF-II Project

The Nile Basin Discourse (NBD) is organising a Transboundary communities’ engagement on Lake Edward & Albert Fisheries and Water Resources Management Project (Leaf-II). The meeting is scheduled for 7th December 2018 at the Uganda | D.R. Congo Border in Kasese District.
The purpose of the trans-boundary communities’ engagement platform is to find out from the Lake Edward-Albert Basin (LEAB) communities’ understanding of the project and its likely impact to the livelihood; their opinions and likely contribution to its sustainability.
The platform will bring together representation from the LEAB communities (D.R. Congo & Uganda); representation from the NBD Network, Nile Equatorial Lakes Subsidiary Action Program (NELSAP); the Nile Technical Advisory Committee (Nile-TAC), District Leaders Local Authorities from LEAB in D.R. Congo and Uganda.
