The past year marked the start of a very important programme for NBD: The Civil Society engagement in Nile Cooperation and Development Programme. This programme can be summed up in the NBD advocacy message: Empowerment through Participation.
This NBD annual report reflects the remarkable outcomes achieved in the ten Nile Basin countries. Through over 750 NBD members, and by building upon trusted relationships and solid evidence based arguments, NBD has contributed to pushing Nile Cooperation issues higher up in the national and regional political agenda.
